Holes

Title: Holes
Author: Louis Sacher
Reviewer: Bridget
What would you do if you were punished for a crime you didn't do? Stanley Yelnets was put into this situation, he was innocent of the crime, but the court didn't know that. As punishment, he was sent to Camp Greenlake, but it wasn't a fun camp. At Camp Greenlake you were to dig a hole everyday, as wide and as long as your shovel. So, Stanley did as he was told, he dug a hole everyday with very little water or food, but he wasn't the only one. Some other people at Camp Greenlake were; Armpit, Zero, Zig-Zag, Twitch, and X-Ray. One day, Zero (the youngest and smallest of all the children) got tired of being pushed around, so he ran away. He didn't know where he was going, all he could see was desert, but he didn't care. Stanley became worried about Zero, and after only a few days, he ran after him. So, will Stanley find Zero? If so, where will they go? Why was Zero at Camp Greenlake? Who caused the crime that forced Stanley into Camp Greenlake? You'll have to read the book to find out!
